Child Support.
We can respond to your inquiry more quickly if you provide the
following information in your E-mail:
- Your full name and Social Security number.
- The full name of the non-custodial parent and their Social
Security number, if known.
- The Illinois county where the child support order was entered.
- The docket number of the order.
The Child Support Customer Service Call Center is also available.
This is an Automated Voice Response System (AVRS) that will answer
in both English and Spanish, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

If you have an active child support case with HFS, you can receive
the following from the AVRS:
- Information about payments processed by HFS.
Note: If you receive child support checks from the State Disbursement
Unit (SDU), you can choose to be transferred to the SDU or you
can call 1-877-225-7077 directly.
- Account Balance Information.
- Income Withholding Information.
- Appointment Information.
- Tax Refund or Other Offsets.
- Instructions on how to change your name and/or address.
- General information on the following:
- What to expect when you go to a child support hearing.
- Explanation of the process for modification of a child
support order.
- Information about the income withholding process.
You will need your Social Security number and the date of
birth of the child in the case.
